Glenn Keough — Co-Chair
Glenn has deep family roots in Ferryland and along the Southern Shore and has, for the past number of years, worked to restore the family ancestral home in nearby Calvert.
I am currently retired, having spent 36 years working at the municipal, provincial and federal levels in the cultural heritage sector. I have worked in leadership roles for community museums in Mt. Pearl and Botwood, multiple roles over a 20-year career with the Newfoundland Museum and the Mary March Museum in Grand Falls-Windsor, and as Visitor Experience and National Historic Sites Manager of Eastern Newfoundland for Parks Canada.
I hold an Honours degree in Newfoundland History from MUN, a Master’s degree in Military and Strategic Studies from the University of New Brunswick, and a diploma in Cultural Resource Management from the University of Victoria.
For my entire career i have worked to maintain, sustain and promote the preservation of our provincial and national heritage treasures that coupled with my historic personal link to Ferryland and the Southern Shore motivates me to do my part in preserving and promoting what remains and has yet to be discovered at the national treasure that is the Colony of Avalon.
