I did mention TWO surprises in the previous blog post, and here it is!
This week we try something different for the Colonial Cook-Off. YOU will become a chef trying to decipher the words of our 17th C recipe. This is an easy one, but no hints will be given, no definitions, no translations. There is nothing on the line except the potential for a messy kitchen, do you want to try it out?
Today we walk in Lori’s shoes…
This recipe comes to us directly from the 17th Century. There have been no additions made for clarification, it is directly out of the book. For an additional layer of mystery, we are not going to tell you what the dish is supposed to be either!
A few things we will say– This recipe contains no meat, though there is a reference on the last line to “guts”. It is a recipe we have done before in the Cook-Off, but not this year.
