August 19, 2017: Exploring Colour in the 17th Century

Step back in time with guest instructor and award winning textile artist Susan Furneaux. Discover the magical world of 17th century colour and create you very own dyed masterpiece using local and exotic nautral dyes.

This workshop will include a brief introductory lecture, discovery and gathering in the Colony’s on-site gardens and hands-on practice of the techniques presented. As we will be outside for part of the day, please wear weather appropriate clothing.
